Hi, I’m Sheila

Life can be tough, sometimes you need a 'champion', someone working in your corner, on your side - who can make things happen. Someone to help you out if you are stuck and frustrated. Someone with fresh eyes who can understand what your rights and entitlements are – that's me.

Most of my adult life has been spent dealing with disability and long-term conditions. I have developed a disability myself and two of my children have disabilities. Being passionate about child health and family support, I co-founded a major national charity, helping thousands of children and families. I become a national campaigner, changing the Law and improving rights. I have worked at Ministerial and local levels, fighting for better health and social care.

In 2001 was honoured to be awarded an OBE, for services to child health. I also became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.

There is a lot of random information out there – the challenge is to know what applies to you and how to push barriers aside. That's my specialism.

Now retired from my role in charity as a CEO. Friends encouraged me not to let the wealth of 'inside knowledge' and experience go to waste.

So here it is – In The Know. A personal service for you. Reach out, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. My services are affordable and I have some charitable funding to help those in certain circumstances.
